"OpenEmcee": A Clever Pun, or a Stupid Name?

Many people have asked us "what does OpenEmcee mean"? It is simply a play on words.

Our framework is structured around the "Model" and "Controller" of the "Model-View-Controller" pattern, hence "M-C". Also, the framework "controls the show" in its target applications, like an Emcee.
